![]() The name ZetrOZ stands for Zero Electrical Impedance “OZ” for designing ultrasound transducers, electronics and coupling means. ZetrOZ was officially founded in 2009 after a year of work by Co-Founders Bryant Guffey—CEO, George Lewis—CSO and JoAnne Guarino— COO who all met at Cornell University with a passion in science and entrepreneurship. The founding members were supported by early company advisors Prof. Richard Newman, Prof. William Olbricht, George Lewis Sr. and John Turner. The ZetrOZ founding ultrasound generator technology which was developed by Lewis during his PhD studies at Cornell was exclusively licensed by ZetrOZ in 2009. ZetrOZ launched its first veterinary ultrasound product employing its patented miniaturization technology in spring 2011 called UltrOZ™ which is currently distributed by FarmVet Inc.
